Building a Community of Practice: Improving Access to Climate Information for Adaptation
November 14 to 16, 2011
Background and Rationale:
The current challenge of consolidating the efforts on climate change research and development of different institutions, and making this information accessible to end users, now lies on the Climate Change Commission.
The Commission, together with the Department of Science and Technology, Ecosystem Research and Development Bureau of DENR, and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) will hold a 3-day conference on Building a Community of Practice: Improving Access to Climate Information for Adaptation. The main objective of the conference is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of climate risk and impact analysis by facilitating the exchange of experiences and lessons learned of the various research institutions involved in climate change adaptation.
