Building on the gains of Ecotown Phase 1 project (2012-2014), Global green Growth Institute (GGG) is now implementing the “Ecotown Scale-Up Project: Climate Resilient Green Growth (CRGG) Planning at the Provincial Level (CRGG Project)” in partnership with the Provinces of Palawan and Oriental Mindoro. The CRGG project aim to: (1) enhance climate change resilience and promote inclusive green growth in participating provinces; and (2) replicate climate resilient green growth planning and implementation models in other provinces to institutionalize the approach at the national level. The project facilitated the formulation of Provincial Climate Resilient Green Growth (CRGG) strategies of Palawan and Oriental Mindoro that outline key policies and projects to support climate change adaptation and sustainable economic development in the said provinces. The project engaged 12 local government units from the two provinces: Puerto Princesa City, Busuanga, Culion and San Vicente, all in Palawan; and Calapan City, Baco, Pinamalayan, Roxas, Bulalacao, Bungabong, Victoria, Naujan, all in Oriental Mindoro.
