The Vertical Integration and Learning on Low Emission Development (V-LED) Project is being implemented in the Philippines to foster climate resilient and low-emission development pathways through improved multi-level governance and knowledge management.  The overarching goal is to systematically strengthen subnational and national government representatives’ local climate action planning, coordination and implementation capacities. CCC sits as a member of the Project Steering Committee, and is the political partner of the Project in the Philippines and has chaired the PSC in 2017.  VLED Project complements the work of CCC on LCCAP, GHGi and LEDs planning, integration of mitigation and LEDs in local development planning through policies, facilitating vertical coordination and horizontal knowledge exchange

The VLED project conducted regular dialogue events, targeted training programs, and good practice exchanges, for key national agencies, provinces, and cities on mainstreaming Low Emission Development (LED) into policies and plans. Apart from the Philippines, UN Habitat is also implementing this separately in Vietnam, Kenya, and South Africa.
