The ‘Green, Green, Green’ Project is the government’s public open space development program launched in 2017 by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). With a budget totaling to Two Billion Five Hundred Eighty Nine Million Eight Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 2,589,800,000.00) lodged in the Local Government Support Fund-Assistance to Cities (LGSF-AC) Program under the FY 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the ‘Green, Green, Green’ program aims to:

a. Enrich open spaces and create sustainable and livable urban environment through turfing, landscaping, and green space architecture;

b. Establish forest parks, arboretum and botanical gardens;

c. Transform streetscape, such as installation of eco-friendly street furniture and fixtures, and shading;

d. Augment connectivity and accessibility, such as construction of eco-friendly bike lanes and walkways; and

e. Enhance green infrastructure through tree planting, construction of bioswales and pervious surfaces.
