The National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP) outlines the long-term program and strategies for climate change adaptation and mitigation in line with national development plans. Adopted in 2012, the NCCAP was developed through a multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach and covered key climate actions in the strategic priorities are defined along thematic outcomes – food security, water sufficiency, ecosystem and environmental stability, human security, climate smart industries and services, sustainable energy, knowledge and capacity development. The NCCAP is also envisioned as foundational document vis-à-vis the development of national commitments and disclosures such as Nationally Determined Contribution and National Adaptation Plan.

In 2016, the Climate Change Commission started to develop  the NCCAP Monitoring and Evaluation Report to measure progress in actions and/or initiatives being implemented by national government agencies to address the impacts of climate change. Said report also looked into the mainstreaming of climate change and its influence to decision making processes of national government agencies..

The first NCCAP Monitoring and Evaluation Report was released on 19 November 2018 during the ____________________. It used data from xx number of national government agencies, for the period of 2011-2016. The report was developed by the Climate Change Commission in partnership with GIZ under the SupportCCC Project.
