Implementation Period: Annually



The National Panel of Technical Experts (NPTE) was constituted in accordance with the Republic Act 9729 or the Climate Change Act of 2009, as amended by RA 10174, to provide “technical advice to the Commission in climate science, technologies, and best practices for risk assessment and enhancement of adaptive capacity of vulnerable human settlements to potential impacts of climate change.”

Under Section 23 of RA 10174, the NPTE members are also tasked to provide technical assistance in the utilization of the People's Survival Fund (PSF). Specifically, the NPTE shall evaluate and review project proposals and recommend approval of project proposals to the PSF Board based on the policies, guidelines, and safeguards, agreed by the Commission.
