The Support CCC Project Phase 2 Project with the Climate Change Commission as Implementing Partnerproject aims to strengthen the Climate Change Commission and other key actors in implementing and coordinating the national climate change regime as well as developing and operationalizing national contributions to the international climate change regime. Funded by GIZ, the pProject components include work on (1) Implementation of the national climate change policy within the framework of the Philippine international climate change commitment; (2) Climate-proof land-use and development planning at local level; (3) Climate finance; (4) Renewable energy and energy planning; and (5) Awareness raising, knowledge management, and networking/interfacing. The Support CCC II Project has supported LGUs in integrating climate mitigation and adaptation measures into their local land use and development planning. The project also provided assistance to the HLURB and the selected LGUs through the HLURB Technical Planning Assistance Program (HTPAP), the CCC Communities for Resilience (CORE) as well as the LGUs under the Project's service packages such as the Global EbA Project. LGUs reached for local climate smart planning include those in the following provinces: Agusan Norte, Agusan Sur, Batanes, Iloilo, Leyte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Pangasinan, Romblon, Southern Leyte and Zamboanga.
