International Women's Day

Achieving gender equality as we tackle the problem of climate change and disaster risk is one of the greatest global challenges of the 21st century, according to the United Nations. Women are disproportionately more affected by the climate crisis.

Yet our women are also effective agents of climate action, with inspiring, innovative, and practical leadership.

This International Women's Day, we heed the call for "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow," by recognizing and celebrating the women who are changemakers for climate adaptation and mitigation, and honoring their contributions to build a gender-responsive and sustainable future for all.
